The Tower of Bukhara in Uzbekistan, also known as the Tower of Death, apparently pleased Genghis Khan so much that it spared him from the devastation and fury of his armies.

It was called the Tower of Death because at the beginning of the 20th century criminals were executed by being thrown from the top of the structure.
The Minaret tower works a bit like the bell towers of Christian churches, the faithful are called from above, here with songs and prayers and not with deafening bells, even if these once served as clocks for rural communities .
